Its all about how well the bike is taken care of, My old 750 I sold with 32k on it and I ran nitrous thru it for years. My 636 has 21k, and my Tiller has 41k.... As long as you stay on top of maintence and dont beat the snot out of them excessivly they can reach 100k with no problem. High milage bikes are hard to come by do to the lay down rate. By the time a bike reaches 30k its been down about once. Thats when they start to look shitty and finally get parted out

ya 20-25 scares a lot of people away from buying a bike but if they're treated right its not a big deal, i know quite a few people and stories of close to 50k w/o problems

theres no reason to be scared of a high mileage bike. that should actully make you want to buy it more cause its obvious that it was taken care of. people are scared cause of the amount of high mileage bikes. as stated above most are wrecked , stolen, or repo'd.

Well for reference my 636 has been layed down once previously, and my TL was layed down atleast 2 times that I know of previously. Its just the odds, but the way I see it if the motor sounds tight and has 20-30k on it then it hasnt been beatin 24/7.

i had 39xxx miles on my yzf before i snapped the crank and 46xxx on my other yzf before i spun a rod bearing and drove it around for another 2 weeks as it was my only means of transportation at the time. my buddies 02 r1 has almost 85,xxx miles and its still runs strong.

Off-topic a little bit but I have seen plenty of shady people that unplug their speedo/odom to sell later with less miles. Just something else to think about.
