Default my 1st wreck

I was on my way 2 work and i was comin off the crosstown, if youve taken the crosstown before you know about the sharp ass circle turns on the exits, so it was pouring the rain and the roads were slick as hell and as i was going through that turn i slammed into the wall and i slid along the wall for about 10 feet but i never laid down the bike. I had my gloves, jacket, and helmet on so fortunately all i got was a broken wrist and a couple minor scatches but it wasnt fun and my bike is tore all to hell. Basically everything that sticks out on the left needs 2 be replaced mirror, signal, clutch lever, handlebar, footrest, gearshift etc. but im happy 2 still be alive

Fuckin' rain - I got caught in it with minimal gear on a few days ago, had to slow to about 30 for a while.

Fuck it, wrist will heal and your gear and bike can all be fixed without a problem. Next time just slow it down if you gotta. Theres no shame in having to putt along at 20-30MPH because you're blind by the rain.

Sounds like you where carrying to much speed and got scared and pulled up. Take it slow in the rain especially since your new to riding. Heal up and get back out their!

How did you manage to hit the concrete wall without falling? Did you just not lean it over far enough to avoid the wall? Seems like you would lose traction and low side before hitting the wall unless you decided to hit the wall as a better option than risking a low side?
