Question about wrecked frame
ok, so I've tried looking this up and I dunno, i cant find anything to answer my question.
Who or what deems a bike frame as needing to be replaced. I've seen bikes that have been completely fucked up in accidents, everything replaced and then sold. I've seen people like drop a bike at like 5 mph and say it needs a new frame. Is this something that's up to the rider/owner, or what?

If it is bent, scratched, smashed, burned, neck damage etc, etc it prob need a new frame. There is a tolerance to frames, they will take measurements and if it isn't to spec it needs to be replaced. Some companies are easier to get new frames from then others. But its just like a wheel or any other part, if it is damaged to a certain point it will need replaced.
