I'm now sold on bridgestone bt016 tires
I have been a die hard michelin pilot power fan. Finally got the bike back on the road and I got to try out my new BT016 tires. Was a little nervous with them the first few laps on a make shift track. However, after the intial scrub in I was impressed. Then I did a mini North Run and went on the famous road with long high speed sweepers. This is where these tires really shine. I could not believe the night and day difference in mid corner stabililty.
To sum things up:
Pilot powers - very slightly faster intial turn in. edgy mid corner stability, great traction, decent life.
BT016's - Just a tad slower intial turn in, very stable mid corner stabilty, bike feels more planted, so far great traction, too new to comment on wear.

If the pp's are unstable, then you arent leaning the bike over enough.

I've never heard anyone say they like bridgestones over PP's.. but i've heard their are a lot better than some people give them credit.
They seem great for me, my bridge's.. I couldn't see a tire getting better, but ill be using pilot powers soon and we'll see the difference

Says the guy that wadded their shit J/k
PP were stable but twitchy during mid corner. The BT016 just seems to hold a line better mid corner. Doesn't have anything to do with lean angle. More so tire profile.
There are several others on here the feel the same way about these tires and now I know why.
However, next time around I am running a BT02 front. I am a rider that runs the front hard.

love the bridgestones. vertigo is confused in life and dont know what he wants. nevermind him. ill be reporting on the bt002's as soon as i get a chance to ride.
Or maybe he has a totally diff bike than most and tire selection make quite a noticeable difference...
BT002's are the shiznit... if ya like the BT016 you're gonna shit with the BT002 front.
It doesn't understand that you are trail braking deep in the corners. It just grips and feels right when it isn't supposed to be, on the streets that is...
I was on a ride a while back with a group of exroad racers on roads I never seen before. I was able to keep them in sight (not to be confused with keeping their pace), and recuperating ground on corner entries on the brakes... (again not to be confused with keeping their pace)
The BT002 front is all that as far as I'm concerned...
