I was thinkin of going to Germany (near Munich) for Oktoberfest, last 2 weeks in September, maybe into October, I found a combo, flight & hotel for like $1300 on Expedia.

I've been there a couple times, it rocks! You want to go on either the first or last weekend (I reccomend the first) and you need to get there early in the da or you may not be able to get into any of the beerhauses. Also the Hofbrau beerhaus is usually the best one to party in followed by the Lowenbrau Haus.

While Octoberfest is cool Rock am Ring next month is waaaay better. Its a huge three day concert festival, this year they have already sold a hundred thousand tickets. It is by far, hands down, smack someones momma, the best event I have ever been to.
