vertigo's track day pix
well really it wasnt the right way to do it. the right way would have been staying commited to the turn and the worst case would have been a lowside.
Will do ... I just heard about this place recently from a friend that ran a shifter kart around it awhile back. I'm not planning on going back for awhile and definitely not on a weekend, too much random traffic and things to control and worry about
You going to Fuel on Sunday for the race?

Plus someone died in a Ducati within this past year.
So yeah, its a risk but hey, thats the fun of it!

Hit me up, I'm riding tommorrow out somewhere, not sure since there's alot going on this weekend.
i hate hearing that. i really wish i had alot of money i would buy the place and gate it off for motorcycle use only. and better the run-off.
I will say this... I was behind him, and it was late in the day, and I had already backed off click and given up riding mikes pace, since I was pushing earlier enough to spin the rear up a few times and had it wiggle under braking in a weird way I didn't like. and still couldn't quite hang with mike and his boy, over about a lap and a half they would get away from me far enough I would back off since I was already over my head abit.
so I don't think he entered the corner much faster if any than mike was most of the day, just missed the line. to just ride it out would have had to happen on the turn in point, not mid way thru where he bailed on the corner and stood it up. but without a doubt if he would have just put the bike on the line without the extra speed bringing the pucker factor causing the late turn in. the bike would have made the corner.
for a split sec just before my braking for the corner, I was like wow that's a wide line he's taking, and then ohh he's crashing.... wow. and then me watching him run off the road, kick up some dirt and then oh yeah, I'm in a corner too lol. looked back, made sure I wasn't going to follow him off, then look back in time to see the bike about 4 foot off the ground and fall on its side.

I saw the spot that the guy on the duc crashed at I believe, I got some pre-highside wiggle at the exact spot the first time I was out there.
i don't think I'm coming up to Fuel tomorrow though ... oh and I met the guy on the duc a couple weeks before, he went out of his way to help my friend replace his rear tire on his 848 so he didnt have to ride back down here home on a tire that was showing cords BADLY. what a guy, I hope I can still rock out on a bike like that when I'm that age.
I'm damn glad to hear you're riding again, we'll have to do some Arcadia shit soon ... I think out of all the routes, me and my GF do that one the most often.
I lead a lot of rides but I generally stay away from the cafe 27 meets ... i'm not a fan of riding around with a bunch of under-geared guys that do wheelies and think they can go around corners ... no offense if that is your thing BUT if you are on the other end of the spectrum you should sign up on our boards:
