Default fuel problems...i think...

I ride my friend's kawasaki zzr 600 from time to time and have noticed the bike stalling from time to time. When I hit a bump on the road, the bike will cut out for a second, then regain itself. Sometimes when I'm riding, it will die, backfire, and come alive again. Could it be carb problems or something with the fuel pump? On the way to school, I actually had to pull over to the side of the road twice because it randomly shut off on me. thanks in advance...

what year is it? could be a fuel pump problem or probably a wire grounding out when you hit a bump causing it to stall
