Default Thinking about making payments. Just want your 2 cents.

Iv sadly been off a bike for way to long.
I was going to get a new truck but ill just maintain the one I got and pick up a bike

I want to spend around 5-6k
Probably around 1000 down.
Really want 02+ R1's but will take a 04+ gsxr 1000. Maybe a 750 if its worth it.

My credit isnt the best but the bad was 6-7 years ago. I think my score is like 640-/+
Great job history. I make 600-650 a week at the low end.

Anyone know any shops, dealers. etc etc?

+1

Shops need to make a lot of money off of you and will try to rape you. Also, try to avoid telling the bank what the money is for, They seem to be reluctant to give loans for motorsports right now. Not sure why exactly.

If you are going to take out a loan, you'll have to carry full insurance, right?
I hear the insurance per year on a sport bike for someone your age (25) could cost more than the bike itself. If thats true, maybe a car/truck might be a better daily driver for you.

Depends on the type of financing. No insurance or title leins are needed for personal loans, or if purchased on a credit card backed by the manufacture (such as the honda card). However if you finance it as an actual motorcycle loan, you may need to carry insurance.

eh i was paying 200 a month for full coverage at the age of 20... ya it may cost more this and that, but in the long run if anything happens it really does save your ass.
