Default Just wtf....

So my brother supposedly had a nice hook up with a guy that owns a bike repair place. Those familiar with me know my bike has water coming through the engine..Most likely head gasket but who the hell knows. So anyways, these jack asses tell him if I bring it in for 65 bucks they will break it down and tell me the exact problem so I can move on from there. So they keep the bike for a few days. I go in..the right fairing is off. He tells me. "You have water running through the engine." Duuuuh... So...for 65 bucks I got told what I already knew...Then it got interesting..

My optioned were..

Pay 350 bucks to pull the engine and break it down. THEN find out whats wrong with it, then pay to fix it..THEN pay to have the engine put back in.

Or.

Find another motor. pay 350 both ways to have old taken out and new put in...

So..Im still bikeless and quite pissed off...

Thanks for letting me vent.

I don't trust any place now. Seriously. I will openly admit I know jack about engines, but I know better than to believe that shit.

dude, your screwed. have you even seen what shops get for an hour's labor? your lucky pulling a side off only cost 65$

you should sell the bike, save your money and buy a running one. its just easier. if not, check ebay for a motor and pay the 350 to have it swapped. what you saw today, it pretty normal for a bike shop. they are open to make money.

In my shop I get 80-85 hr. But my techs get a quarter of that per flat rate hr. You have to pay for good techs. Just remember you get what you pay for.
