All dealers must stop selling kids motorcycles aimed at riders under 12 years old.
how did i miss this one haha
i gotta call bullshit on this one.
no one is going out of businesses over this, yeah its stupid to not be able sell a dirt bike because it has lead. but its not "anything" its only shit targeted to kids under 12.
so other than toys, not much is targeted to 12year olds. and toys don't need lead in them... even thou i'm guessing no one knows why bikes have it either. so they will either remove the lead soon when they build them, or put a sticker on it that says not for kids 12 and under.
unless you like the idea of kids playing with lead, killing brain cells and we end up with a race of humans that are even more stupid than we have now.... hell that whole asbestos ban is bullshit too. its the best insulator and now because its banned our houses are wasting energy, fuck the health thing.
shit, i bet you know how obama caused this.
fuck mornings too.

Industry advocates said that certain internal components in motorcycles, including battery terminals and brake parts, contain enough lead to be effectively banned from sale.
thats all i can find on it. there's no reason for lead to be in brakes and battery termals i'll give you are lead, but since when do kids little peewee 80s have starters? make kids kick start and pull start their shit like we have to and this doesn't matter.
really thou, the only thing i can think of is the paint. they must sitll be painting the bikes with lead paint or something because its cheap shit.

As of February 10th, 2009 a lead ban on all products designed for children ages 12 or under could effectively end the sport of ATV and Motorcycle riding for our children. The act sets the limit at "600 parts per million total lead content by weight for any part of the product." That limit will drop to 300 ppm one year after the date of enactment and 100 ppm three years after unless deemed technologically unfeasible.
you could also make the bike heavier lol.
with this part being key..
unless deemed technologically unfeasible.

ATV and Dirt Bike Lead Ban Exemption
Courtesy of CPSC
Friday, February 06, 2099
It appears that ATV and motorcycle manufacturers have been granted a reprieve from the damaging CPSC lead restrictions set to go into effect on February 10th. MotorcycleUSA’s understanding of the enforcement policy, after discussions with the CPSC representatives, includes an exemption clause if manufacturers can prove that parts containing lead are inaccessible. The following press release from the CPSC explains the enforcement policy, with potential ATV and dirt bike OEM exemption in bold.
