when i was at MEPS a few months ago I asked almost everyone that was being processed/interviewed/ect for the military and most if not all of the guys there were joining because either there dad/family has served before or that they felt it was there patriotic thing to do, while also helping them do college afterwards. i guess you could translate that to joining for money, but i dont.. its a job you have to get paid for it lol.

and ill also add, theres A LOT of jobs in the military.. every one of them requiring tons of hard skills to learn to do your job.

haha.. its not like i've gone to a recruiter's office and interviewed people. but i've known a few and a few are friends of friends and they all pretty much go in for the money up front. i'd remind you about the stat that more kids have died on the bikes they use the sign up money to buy than have in the war. but it doesn't matter really.

so yeah, the % could be much less, cause the people i know could all be losers lol. but in the end it doesn't really matter why you go in, if they do their full time, they will be different people when they come out.

even if you try its hard to find anything to disrespect about that.
