Deals Gap Vid
Thats the top of 2nd gear in my car? I didnt get into third much on that road, in a car it seems like an endless autocross. It seems like most bikes with a good rider can get up to atleast 75 on the straighter parts of the road.
I wanted to go to the skyway to see what the car could do at higher speeds but I have Zero down force mods and I dont trust the car and my skillset at anything above 65 using just mechanical grip, so I decided that would be a bad idea.

I didn't look much at the speedo on the bike, but I didn't remember a lot of straights on that road for 65mph speeds. Raul and I were going through there at a pretty good pace as well.
As far as the skyway, you can get well in to triple digits without even trying. That's a really really really good road. It's extremely long with tons of long turns.

Im sure you went past 65mph easily because I know there are a few areas where my stock KA 240sx went past that and I didnt redline it much. But for me and my skill set as a driver 65mph was the average max speed. I know the Killboy.com photographer with the silver evo hits 80mph alot of that road.
Yeah I would probably get killed on the skyway unless I had some aero enhancements to my car. Its not that it gets unstable but it becomes very easy to break traction loose in certain situations with speeds that high. I dont know how it is on a bike but my a-piller was constantly in my way especially on switch backs and my field of vision wasnt as far as I would of liked I had to constantly look out my door window to follow the road to make sure no one was heading my way. But nothing beats those twisty roads up in that area in terms of excitment.

I'm sure D1ngo & I were around 65mph+
I got pulled over at the gap in the rain for going 45mph...
and I thought I was taking it easy

65+ is easily obtainable on the straighter parts of the gap. The turns that are marked slow are ball busters though.
