Best Bike For Travel
what are some good bikes for long distance travel.
looking for reliable good price. characteristics that make a bike good for travel. any good info here? im also looking to trade my 1999 honda CBR 600 for one of these mythical bikes.

nononon, getting rid of my sports bike for a good bike for touring, i have an F4....i want cruiser of some sort.

Yamaha Yzf 600's are supposed to be really good for long distances.. reliable, user friendly and comfortable seat. I have drove mine for a good 8 hours before with nothing but little 5 minute breaks here and there..

No sportbike in existance is good for long distance travel.
The Honda Goldwing is an excellent bike for long distance comfortable travel. Plenty of cargo space for a bike, very stable, lots of goodies.
Harley Davidson makes several bikes that are comfortable for long distance travel. Some are better than others, but they're very pricey.
BMW makes probably some of the best touring bikes on the road in my opinion. They just rock and thats all there is to it.
I guess we need a little more information. Do you cant a car on 2 wheels, or do just want a stylish 2-wheeled ride that won't make sure lower back and ass sore after 30 minutes?

2006 Yamaha FJR1300 was my first bike actually.
Sport tourer, decent power, Good bike. Easy to work on.
Drive shaft, so for touring you wont need to oil your chain.
You can pick up a used one for about 9000 or so.

Plus, if you run across one of those annoying ass bikers you can pretty much tear through their little crotch rockets without batting an eye.
