Default Gixxer wheel swap?

Do any of you know for sure if an 03-04 gixxer 1K rear wheel will fit an 05-06 1K or vice versa?

Thanks,
Frankie

I dont think they will, I believe the wheel spacing is different, the 03/04 1K is its own bike all to its self, hard to find any gsxr parts to interchange.

but if you find an answer for sure, let us know.

need tires (take offs)? PM me
need a deal on a track day? PM me

disclaimer: I sell used tires (take-offs), these tires have been used at Jennings, Homestead, etc. (road courses for those that dont know) therefor these tires are more used up on the sides than in the middle,

Alot of parts swap over from 01-02 to the 03-04. The swingarm, triples, engine (no electronics), and wheels I know will work. The frame, subframe, and bodywork are obviously different, so is the wiring harness and ECM.

I called the dealer and they confirmed the part numbers for the bearings, axle, sprocket carrier, and one of the spacers are the same between 01-06. The wheels from 01-04 and 05-06 are different numbers since they have different spokes. He asked one of the techs, who owns an 01 1K, and he said its a straight up swap.

I might be trading a guy in Kentucky or a guy in Jacksonville. I like the spokes on the 01-04 wheels better than the 05-up.
