Cafe Racers. The next big thing?
I've always loved old school British iron, and cafe racers of any kind.
I just watched this move Brittown I got from netflix. It was pretty good.
These old bikes are just badass. And the people that ride 'em and build 'em always seem to be cool.
Here are some promos from the film.
Brittown Documentary:
YouTube - BRITTOWN: a British motorcycle DVD (teaser video 1)

Frankly, I'm really surprised that this isn't a bigger scene. Though cafe bikes do seem to be makinga resurgence. Cafe bikes are all about the bare essentials of motorcycles, fun and individuality. Its really the old school rat-rod approach to motorcycling.

How much does a bike like that cost? They remind me of a dirt bike for the street

You can customize one any way you want. Lots of options:
speaking of dirt bikes, there is a Scrambler version...good for trail riding.
You aren't limited to british bikes either. There are lots of other Cafe style bikes. Kawasaki built the W650 awhile back in 2000. They are really nice.
And there is a dude named Carpy that makes some mean old school cafe bikes from old busted and unwanted 1970's Honda CB750's.
Original CB750
You can pretty much build a cafe bike out of anything. Use your imagination.
They aren't the fastest bikes, but they are shit tons of fun.

In fact, there is someone on TR selling a potential cafe racer right now, cheap!

I almost picked up a 78 Suzuki RD400 a few months ago. It would have been a bad ass cafe racer.

You forgot the quintessential Trump knock-off, the Yamaha XS650. Great bikes, actually.
