im shitting on his thread right now, that guy is out of his mind if he spent 11k on that thing..

unless if of course he financed a 350 banshee back in 96, got raped by HSBC for 10 years, finally paid it off then threw the motor into a POS rolling chassis and now he gets this 11,000 figure from there? IDFK. its giving me a headache.

Having personally done well over 75 mph in a Rotax 125cc single speed Birel, imagining a 350cc two stroke with multiple gears doing over 150 mph is not at all far fetched. The 125 I drove was geared for autocross, so it hit it's powerband at around 40 mph. With a multi-speed gear box a much taller final drive is attainable. It would be a hairy ride for sure, but it definitely within the realm of possibility.

As for the kart, I've seen prettier karts sure, but it appears that he's got all the stuff you'd need. I'm surprised that there's no instrumentation for all the money he's claimed to have in it. Zip ties aren't so bad, take a walk through the pits on a JenningsGP track day and start counting zip ties.
