Default New law, no more permits?

I'm planning on picking up a bike soon and I had a quick question.

Yes I searched but didn't find a solid up-to-date answer.

I understand I need to take a proper motorcycle course in order to get my endorsement, but was under the impression that I can still get a 3 month permit before I take the course. Is this correct? Or am I wrong?

Doesn't matter either way, just wanted to get a clear answer on this from you guys on here that know what's up.

Thanks in advance.

im going to go ahead and say no. Because most shops now will not allow you to ride off if you dont have your endorsement and instead will ship the bike to you.

I don't care about a shop not letting me ride a bike, I'll be buying it private party.

I just want to be able to legally ride.

Harley dealership in St. Pete is charging $150 only for 4 days (if you are in military or a student).
