Default Mounting Tires...

Well I used to bitch and moan that shops in FL charged too much to mount tires if you brought them the wheels off your bike. Seems like the going rate is $20 for 10-15mins worth of work per tire...

Well I will bitch no more...

I had to find a local shop here in TN that would mount my new rear BT002. (Yes on my 2nd set of those already)

The best deal I could find was $45!!!!

Fack man... made me wish I was back home... MOFUCGGERS!!!!

My cornhole still hurts!

We bought the rig along with a tire balancer so we can do it right at home in the garage.

Definitely worth the investment!

Not to mention, nothing beats being able to mount a tire last minute at midnight on your own terms.

Raul, I feel your pain. As soon as I got back to LA, I was already missing the good deals on tires + install. I've spent so much money on tires and install the past year its ridiculous.

The only thing that has been a good deal is that the track "tire" service will install the tires for free if you buy tires from them!

BTW, you are going to have to get used to buying tires much more often. Based on my current pace, I expect to only get 8 weekends of riding on the street in the canyons on the PP 2CT rear (the front gets a lot more life). The good news is somebody who commutes is going to get a brand new tire in the center for cheap. I see tons of people in the canyons with bald center section and the sides still all brand new. I'm already "pre" selling my tires to people!

Did you get the No-Mar rig? I been thinking about that one with the static balancer... I also have gone as far as drawing my own on paper, but have lacked motivation to inplement it We'll see...

If I get to meet more peeps around town I may buy the No-mar rig and start handing out business cards... $20 for 20-30 mins is not a bad gig and may help pay for it and then some...

No-Mar product: This is the No-mar Jr. Pro

That's the exact setup we have.

It definitely paid for itself. We have 4 bikes, 3 of them daily commuters with about 80 miles a day for us. After we did the math, along with the idea that most shops do a shitty job with balancing tires, it was definitely worth it. I have to mount my new set tomorrow morning actually.

I change my own by hand. The stuff cost less than $100 total and takes maybe 30 minutes with the wheels already off the bike.
