Photos: Another Track Day in SoCal (Streets of Willow)
Here are just a few pics from my second visit ever to the Streets of Willow Springs (last Friday).
The track organizer I rode with gives every rider a lap timer (mainly for safety to keep tabs on which riders should be in which groups regardless of which level you sign up for).
One of my buddies in the photos told me to sign up for Level 3 (expert/advance/whatever) and I was hesitant to do so, but did it anyway since he was riding Level 3 and we run a similar pace in the canyons. And I am glad I did, because the lap timers proved him right, I was running Expert level times
Turn 3 (repaved since last time I was there in Feb)

I like this one because of where my knee is in relation to the rumble strip. I remember some dudes signature (I think from tampasportbikes) said something about "letting it all hang out over the rumble strip" or something?
This was in the bowl turn with the 20 degree banking. Somebody wrecked there and spilled oil on over half of the road (the top half) and the best line that worked for me avoiding it was to stay on the lower half of the road and drag knee WAY far... all the way through the bowl until the banking seemed to level out. It felt like I was dragging knee forever (long enough to need a gear change in the middle of it).

I like this one since the photographer got me and a couple buddies in the same shot
The guy on the red bike was the one that told me to sign up for Level 3. The guy in the white bike is going with our group to MotoGP at Lagun Seca in three weeks.

And finally where I spent HALF of my session(s) due to the 109 degree heat, the Hot Pit!!

Thanks guy
D1ngo, I like the exhaust better too, the one that came with it was alright, but after a while started to look "dated." The only issue is that it is WAY loud. You will not make friends with your neighbors or the places you ride with this pipe!
Nick, Are you coming out to Laguna Seca? I have a buddy that has an extra "suite" ticket that is a 3 day pass, paddock, grandstands, meals, drinks (water, soda, beer, wine all you can drink) etc. It also includes bike parking. We have room for one more person at the motel we are staying at that is 15 minutes from the track
Give me a call or shoot me a PM if want to fly out. We are riding from LA to Laguna Seca on Thursday (hitting canyons all day on the way up there) and then of course Fri-Sun during the day is the event and at night we are cabbing it to Cannery Row for what I am told is a wild time partying. We may even ride up to San Francisco real quick and have lunch at fisherman's warf (across from Alcatraz). Its going to be awesome!
As you can imagine, just about everybody I know in the SoCal area that rides a motorcycle is going up there for the GP.
