he was on DOT race tyres. racing compund with the rain swipes cut in them. I hooked him up with Greg Melka for some tyres

what exactly does the rain slits do for ya? dont they fade of faster especially in heat like that?

 

i just assumed he meant they had tread on them.. like a power race. It's a dot race tire and has tread.. but im probably wrong

 

kawie, they do fade fast, but they are only there for when its raining, then they are good thing to have

what allot of people dont think about is that even with DOT race tyres, you are loosing traction anytime rubber is not in contact with the pavement. so technically you can lose traction with the rain slits or whatever they are called.
on dry surface a slick will give the best traction, but allot of people dont like the Michelin slicks - well the front, anyway. the "PRC" front has a differnt shape (^) to it which aids in turning the bike, all you have to do is lean a lil to one side and it just falls in so to speak.

lol. seriously. i wanna be able to ride like that. I am having a lot of trouble gauging how fast i can go entering a corner (call me a pussy)

maybe i should put the supercorsa in the r1.

 

i think jeremy would do a lot better if he would get a tinted visor or wear shades like i do. every pic i see of him his eyes are so squinted i dont imagine how he see's anything.
