If the rest of the bike is in good shape and it has a clean title then 3k is a good deal.

A subframe is only like $150-200

3K isnt that bad of a deal for an 04. whats exactly wrong witht he sub-frame? sometimes you can weld them back if broken and if its tweeked, you can bent them back sorta if done correctly.
actually you can find them for $100 or cheaper on some of the race forums. the gsxr's are the cheapest bike to buy parts for especially used since there are so many out there plus you have the option of buying allot of parts from the 750 that fit the same.

need tires (take offs)? PM me
need a deal on a track day? PM me

disclaimer: I sell used tires (take-offs), these tires have been used at Jennings, Homestead, etc. (road courses for those that dont know) therefor these tires are more used up on the sides than in the middle,

hey mike,How many miles are on the bike?1st thing is why it needs a new sub?did he flip it?yes it could be repaired(tig welded) if not too bad but a clean 100.00 special is better.as far as inspecting the bike, check the normal wear items.tires, brake pads & rotors, oil level & color, brake fluid color.another good check is to push the bike forward in neutral & grab the front brake to check neck bearing cond.if the bike has been endo'd or heavily wheelied they are usually pretty loose and can feel or hear the play in the neck.check the handlebars, ends, and footpegs also for signs of ground zero.it sounds like a decent deal, you just need to be careful out there with so many bikes being used hard these days!good luck lmk,Anthony

Mind posting pictures of the bike? I found a 2004 GSXR 600 that was pretty beat up and the guy ended up selling it for 3000, could it be the same bike? The one I found had about 10000 miles.
