I agree... why is it the government's business whether or not you want to live through an accident? If bikers can choose to be idiots and not wear helments, why can't drivers be idiots and not wear seat belts? I don't see how either not wearing a helmet or not wearing a seat belt hurts anyone other than the person that chose to not wear the safety gear.

 

It hurts family, friends, and statistics. But I do agree with you, it should be your choice, but if that were the case, then thousands of more people would be dead every year in both cases...

 

if someone's in my car they better have that belt on especially if they're sittin behind me... not tryin to have 150+ pounds of weight come crashing into me if i were to get in a wreck. you pay the price to not wear a helmet money-wise and health-wise if you wreck. ... the gov't basically sucks at life and we are stuck with their crap they dish out.

 

if they wanna reduce deaths on the roads, they should pass a law like that.
