Default A few Observations

Ok. I've just noticed some funny things sense I've started riding. When I pull up to a light and there are a dozen cars behind me the light sometimes does not know I'm there and stays red. 5 minutes later I'm just laughing cus this is bullshit and I have to tell the guy behind me to come beside me. The second thing is when I'm coming up to a light and there are cars there I usually pull beside a car cus I'm always scared of being rear ended. If I don't do that I have my asshole constantly pucked up just waiting lol. Last thing is if its 100 degrees outside and I just have on jeans, a helmet, gloves, and a t-shirt, am I considered a squid. Thats all I can think for now. Just wondering what you guys think about this daily shit. Maybe you have some other funny stuff you notice too.

Most sensors these days will detect most bikes. If they won't you pull up and the car usually gets the idea to get up behind you.

Install a device that will flash your brake light, or tap the brake handle a few times without rythm when you stop. Greatly increases your visability. If you really feel scared, downshift and let the car hear it. PRobably doesn't work as well on sportbikes...but loud pipes save lives.

Eh, not so much. A squid would be the two idiots I saw cruising on their crotch rockets today...BOTH with their helmets on the mounts on the sides of their bikes...what the fuck?

Get yourself a nice textile or mesh jacket or something. I have a fucking leather jacket I wear during the day. Thats brutal. But get a jacket and wear it. If you ever skid without one you'll hate yourself for weeks. A mesh/textile jacket can be reasonably light and very protective. It doesn't HAVE to have the approved pads/armor in it if you don't want - but I'd recommend it. Still, just a basic jacket will prevent road rash and may protect against some sharp objects. And its better than nothing.

That happens to me all the time. You can get around it by either making a right turn, then make a u turn up the street... or you can place your bike/kickstand directly over the sensor if you can see it.

Damn straight. You fucking should be. Keep your bike in gear until the car behind you stops and stare at your mirror until you're convinced its okay to relax.

Every time I see some riders without mirrors I laugh at them. Its damned stupid not to have your 360 vision running on the street.

and There's another video out there of a cruiser at a traffic light getting plowed over by a truck that didnt see him

I would definitly take that off your hands as I am a huge fan of the Icon jackets but I'm looking for a black jacket to match the bike you see in my sig. Thanks though
