Something Crazy Went Down The Other Day: Check It Out
So its friday and im on my way home from work coming down Anderson if u live in Tampa... Im heading towards gunn hwy/ehrlich... So u have the nice lil "S" curve b4 coming up to turner, well im in the right lane w a Expedition behind a Audi in the left lane... as we come up to the curve the Ford comes right into my lane, instead of her hitting me i went into the bike lane which then ended into the start of the lil curb wall... well i hit the curb and I go into the air, bike lands with me like super man, (chest on gas tank, feet/legs on the back seat) legs/feet go straight to the ground bike starts to swirl out of control, I hold on with everything i have as it pushed me back into the curb... I slow the bike down enough to get a grip on WTF just happened as both tires r flat and im still try'n to make it around curve... Well i make it to Country Run Park and the Audi pulls over and asks if im alright I said yes... My cell was dead and i used his cell to get a truck n pick me up... I didnt go down and the bike is good... No one knows how i saved this but the pics r crazy... The Next day I go to my Boys shop and Buy BLACK 1000 RIMS, SHINKO ADV. TIRES, FRONT BRAKES AND FRONT FINDER FOR $630.00 INSTALLED... TALK ABOUT A SHITTY WAY TO START THE WEEKEND BUT THEN AGAIN IT COULD'VE BEEN ALOT WORSE, I WAS RIDING BY SAT. NIGHT LIKE NOTHING EVER HAPPENED... SO WHAT WAS A 03'ALSTARE W/ LIM. GOLD RIMS NOW HAS BLK RIMS AND LOOKS GOOD, LMK WHAT U THINK...
P.S. THE BITCH DIDNT PULL OVER AND PROB. DOESNT KNOW WHAT SHE DID SO NO COPS, NO INSURANCE, ALL OUT OF MY POCKET... B.S. I TEACH FOR ( MSF ) SO I KNOW WHAT IM DOING ON A BIKE BUT IT JUST GOES TO SHOW THAT ITS NOT ALWAYS THE RIDER BUT OTHER F**KS ON THE ROAD... BE SAFE OUT THERE !!!

Good save bro... Can I ask why didn't you slow or speed out of her way? Maybe yo couldn't... in which case a kick on the door would have beeen nice

holy shit... the front fender impacted the upper. it doesnt look like your bikes lowered but if not holy shit thats a hell of a impact. id keep an eye on your forks to make sure the seals didnt get damaged. but good save and look at it this way it could be 2600$ for plastics, subframe etc.

im glad you are ok and nothing bad happened to you. $630 for all that wasnt bad at all but thats still money you couldve used to fix something else on the bike.
Thats another reason why i dont ride around town anymore

alright first off let me say that im glad another rider didn't get hurt and i know this is not your fault but i cand help but think there would be a little less damage if you hadn't gone the cheap way too lower your bike. from the pics you can see that your 3" drop was accomplished by just letting the forks up through the triple tree 3"s. you should have just gotten them resprung.
again im glad your ok. and keep an eye on your forks. i know the exact spot where you hit, i live about too blocks away and from what you described that would have been a hellashish impact. even if your forks seem ok on the outside and are straight, the insides may have binded on the impact and could bind again now. you should have the forks disassembled and checked out.

Damn, glad your ok. I almost hit an elderly couple crossing (on foot) that same curve at night... I split between them at triple digits... it was dumb and scarred the shit out of me.
