RIP rider... this is all too sad.

 

Thank God they are going to press charges, but only because she was DUI and ran a red light. If she had just not looked and pulled out killing him she would have gotten a failure to yield ticket and been on her way. In any case, RIP to the rider and I hope the driver that killed him has a long time to think about it in prison.

For the record, on the news they said he wasn't wearing his helmet. Probably wouldn't of mattered in this instance, but....
Remember, no matter how safe a rider you think you are, there are plenty of dumb drunk ho's running redlights out there. ATGATT

 

^ Very true. Who's to say a helmet wouldn't have saved his life though. Either way it's a horrible truth that comes with riding anywhere (especially Tampa). At the very least, they have the person who caused all of this and she'll be seeing jailtime.
