Default knocking clicking front sprocket

06 zx6r. i took the bike out for a 6 hour spin, on the way home i started feeling knocking and clicking noises around my footpegs. so i stopped and checked. everything looks ok. so i started going. from first gear releasing the clutch. i heard a little knock around the front sprocket area/transmission area. then heard a 2 more after that. around 50/60 mph i can hear little bit fast knocking and its more noticeable while stopping.
i put the bike on a stand and started spinning the tires. i hear a lot of chain noise in the fron sprocket compared to the rear.

would this mean i need to go ahead and get new front sprocket, rear sprocket and chain or is it something far worse, like transmission? the chain has 14500 miles on it and was neglected by the previous owner.

sorry for the long post. i just wanna make sure that everyone understands whats going on on the bike before i start assuming something.

im just hoping its not a transmission issue .

your book should tell you what the play is supposed to be. I think on the busa its 20-30mm taken when the kickstand is down.

also, make sure that your front sprocket itself isnt loose when you take the parts off to check the bolt, check the teeth to see if they're worn or bent. sprockets are cheap, i got a -1 front for about 15 bucks.

Lube every 600 miles or less.
