Bike wont start...help
Bike wont start...help
I have a suzuki gsxr 600 that wont freaking start. Id kept it at a friends house one night and the next day I went to get it and it wouldn't start. That was about 3months ago and now im starting to try to get it to work but I dont know how. I put the key in and the lights will go on but when I try to start it the bike doesn't even try to turn on. Ive checked the battery and the fuses and they seem to be okay. Any ideas as to what I should do??
Well I took the battery out and took it to suzuki who tested it and said that it seemed fine and that it should start the bike...

make sure the kill switch is in the right position, make sure you have the clutch pulled all the way in. make sure the bike is in neutral and try and put your side stand up in case that switch isn't working properly. if worse comes to worse push start it.

also, Make sure that those switches (kick stand, clutch, gear position indicator) are functioning correctly. if any of them are shorted out it doesnt matter if you have the kickstand out or clutch in or in neutral...it simply wont work.
Second point. Check to see if the fuel pump turns on and then shuts off when you put the key in the ignition. If it does not, perhaps you should take it to the dealer for them to trouble shoot it....unless you have a service manual.
