I bought my current motorcycle from there, and aquired the GAP insurance with my purchase. The insurance was never fully explaned to me, with that said the gap is susposed to pay off the remainder of what you owe in the event of a total loss. So im guessing that means, totalling your bike, but does that also include theft? Cause i need to know if theft is covered under it. I have a horrable driving record, and have tryed to get quotes for theft insurance. They ushually will just say they cant even give me a quote till my record is cleared up. but if the GAP covers it, i dont need it.

So all of you who bought your shit at westcoast. whats the dilleo?

Ok Gap is the same no matter whre you go..

GAP is there to cover the gap from what you owe ont he bike and what insurance DOES not cover.

So say your bike is stolen or totaled...

KBB says your bike is worth 7000...and your still owe 11 on the loan...

if you have insurance and they give you the 7k...gap will cover the other 4k that your insurance doesnt.

so say you total your bike..or its stolen..you have gap..but no insurance.

they will only give you the 4k...not the full 11k.

but wait theres a loop hole.. since fl doesnt require insurance on motorcycles people pay for GAP and ride off. altho in the event u wreck on ur own and dont have insurance they dont do shit. but if u get hit by someone and there insurance pays out then GAP covers the rest.

 

there's another good reason why people by 600cc bikes, insurance is cheaper...
