What year are you talking about? Are you talking about the 636? I have an 04 and I love it. You'll hear lots of different things. Why don't you just look at reviews and stuff. Google it. MCN, Sportbike Mag, etc. I would get a newer ZX-6, but I haven't ridden one. Go sit on one after you get your license.

It depends on who you go through. You can go through your bank or a credit union to finance, or the stealership. Either way, you will usually have to have insurance on it. You can find ways around it, but I really wouldn't suggest that. Sometimes insurance isn't that bad. It's too much for the amt that I ride, but for someone in your case, you had better figure that into the equation also. G/L and ATGATT.

anything from the big4 is so close that theres no real reason to play the brandwars. ride whatever u can get a good deal on thats newer and you'll be fine. take the MSF course and wear all your gear ALL the time.
