well I traded with MikeGT an got his 00 zx9. I rode 200+ miles up, looked at it, took it for a quick ride and began heading home. The bike was running rough, needed a tune. Got it home started messing with it and got it running better, look and see a subframe bolt missing. I began inspecting more and low and behold the frame was cracked. Small cracks about halfway up the gas tank on both sides. the frame had a small dent on the right hand side, but I figured I would just ride because it still had a clear title. well now i'm totally screwed, is this repairable? anyone want to buy the bike? it has a clear title, fresh motor/trans, all fairings. thanks for letting me vent, any help is appreciated...

 

ow much do you want to sell it for? Any pictures.

as for the frame. Good luck the only way to fix it is to change the frame out with a different one.

yeah thanks, well I took it too a local alumium welding place and they welded it up, they couldn't guarantee any kind of safety he said he's never welded ona bike before, but he works with aluminum and states it should be ok. as far as if someone is interested post an offer or PM one and I'll let you know. The bike is complete with all fairings

 

if he welded it good.. then u might be alright... just ride it for awhile.. keep ur eye on the welds.. in the mean time look on ebay or local shops for a frame..

 

weld it and turn it into a track bike!!!! you will have alot more fun at the track than on the streets


btw, I wouldnt do too many wheelies until you get it fixed, the extra stress from coming back down too hard might cause it to crack worse

I would find a good lawyer and get them to work on this case ASAP. Dont put your life in danger anymore than you already are by just riding a bike in general. I dont know if you've even had a bike fall apart underneath you but it is NOT a pretty site.
