Your bike will take more abuse than you can throw at it, trust me. They were DESIGNED to be taken to the rev limiter and you could ride it there if you wanted to. You wont have engine problems per se', but 'ragging' on it shortens the life of chains, sprockets, and other wear items like clutches and cables depending on how it is exactly your beating on it. But shit, if it breaks it needed upgrading anywho

Bikes are a LOT like women man, ride 'em HARD and run 'em ragged, but make damn sure you treat them well and they'll let you continue to do the things above

i ride my bike harder than most... that arent insane atleast.

i change the oil every 2 - 2.5k max miles

always keep up on tire pressure, cleaning it, servicing the chain with cleaner, lube and adjusting tension.... my bike has 9k miles and it still runs as strong as ever, it saddens me to think about people who look down on high mileage bikes i know for a fact my bike is in WAY better shape than most people i ride with who have FAR less miles.

anyway, dont be a pussy... and make sure you stay on top of caring for your bike, so you can beat on her too

When I bought my bike, I had every intention of rebuilding it at 15-20k.... I beat the hell out of it. So far, it has held up very well.

The bike will be fine as long as preventative maintenance is done on it. Go to 600rr.net, there are quite a few people on there with 30k+ miles on their RR
