Default broke down tonight....

was on my way home tonight and started to notice my lights/gauges started to flicker a little....about 5 miles from house it loses all electrical and stalls out.... im thinkin the stator took a crap and it just drained the battery....anyone else have this happen or know exatcly what would cause it to happen...

i heard yamaha havealot of electrical problems (older ones as far i know)

If you replace the Yamaha stickers with Suzuki ones the increased magnetic attraction generated will over-ride any previous electronic short comings.

Broke down the same way with my Yamaha FJR1300...turned out some wires in my ignition housing was blown....and the part was back ordered. took a month for it to come it, and when it did, i promptly got rid of the bike.

my bike was fixed a few days ago....ended up just bein a connector that burned out to the rectifier....costed $3.50....
