If he loses multiple years in a row , The appeal he has towards other aspects of racing will rapidly diminish.... But "Garbage"... Dont see how u can rationalize calling a man who was deemed fastest on 2 wheels and makes 26 million a year garbage...

 

+1....At least I hope so.... The lack of any real points battle made this year sort of boring. Its not so much as my guy winning that gets me going its close racing and a good championship battle that makes or breaks a season for me. There was some great races this year but it seemes like for most of the races so far this year Stoner just walked the field from green to checkers and I didnt like that at all. I have only really watched the last 2 seasons from start to finish so I am sure if I had been watching longer than I would prolly hate Rossi like the rest of you.

 

Casey is definitely talented. And when you have that much talent and are riding the best bike on the field with the best crew tuning it, that makes for dominating performances like this year...

Rossi enjoyed that edge when he was on the Honda. He put in 3 consecutive years of clinching the title early with 100+ points advantage.

He then followed it up with 2 more years of domination on the Yamaha... when it was reliable While Honda ran around like chickens with no heads signing veteran riders (Sete, Biaggi & Barros) instead of focusing on Nicky.

So I am pretty tired of seeing Rossi have that advantage. Casey is a welcomed change, Glad to see what I always suspected. Another great rider on a reliable fast bike with a great crew behind it equating to a MotoGP title.

Now I don't agree that it is fair to call Nicky a 1 hit wonder. Pedrosa might have scored more points this season but he has failed to produce a title on a bike that Honda has tailored around him. There are way too many things going on at Honda for Nicky to be able to look like he attempted a title defense.

Nicky is currently riding without traction control and has been doing better since that change. It is also rumored that Nicky finally got a new chassis that better suited his style, halfway through the season...
Nicky didn't loose the title... Honda pathetically gave it away and they can thank their all knowing spanish sponsor for Dani getting the #1 development seat... Go honda!!! Rubbish!

 

Don't forget that Michelin spent the first half of the season getting their chit together too. The new tires rules hurt the Michelin riders pretty bad this season. I expect that it'll be a tighter competition next season assuming of course that the rules stay fairly stable.

it was pretty awesome to see rossi go from 7th than up to 3rd with a 4 second gap between him and stoner than pass pedrosa for the lead but he really should of pitted a lap or two earlier to make the race a lil more intresting till the end. stupid rain! how bout anthony west jumping out and grabbing a huge lead even though he slightly jumped the start.... sucks to not see hopper at all in the race hayden was in it for a minute and slowly dropped back but there was pretty much no sign of hopkins and edwards... edwards started the season pretty strong but kinda just fell out of it as soon as stoner showed he was for real and rossi started screwing up. with three more races hope my yamaha guys can finish strong!

 

In Rossi & even Edwards defense... the new Yamaha sucks... its proven to be unreliable. Rossi's A bike with the new pneumatic heads went up in smoke in practice. Guess what motor he was on for the race... yup the old mill.

Colin has said in interviews that he admits & admires Rossi's ability to adjust his style through the race. The guy is a genius riding around problems... and even Jeremy has said he has to tell Rossi to let the bike do what it does wrong so that it shows up in telemetry to adjust...

But let's face it guys... this ain't just about rider ability here... the new Yamaha Fucking sucks... They might as well give Rossi a Haga spec R1.

 

 

Oh while post whoring about my fav subject...

I think the man to watch out for next year is Melandri. He will be Stoners team mate next year. He has struggled all year on the POS Honda, and frustrated with HRC lack of timely support. I am sure he is happy to have told Honda to fuck off with their factory support BS.

And as passionate as Italians are about their sports... you can bet that Ducati will go out of their way to give him the chance to be an Italian Champ on an Italian bike...

Rossi will shit (if he isn't already) for not taking the Ducati ride while he had the chance... I bet Nicky is thinking the same too... I hope that after next year, Nicky will opt to go to another team. Kawasaki wouldn't be far fetched...

 

but rossi did win the last race with the new motor? but it did blow up the race before that 4 laps into the race... if yamaha could consistantly have a good motor and running bike like you said ducati has this year it would be totally different.. i hate honda i hope nicky gets outa there quick as like many others i cant wait to see what happens next year... new players totally new game i just wonder what ima do after these three races to pass the time..

 

Oh... I know man I hate the off season... Hopefully it wont be as brutal as last year if My BUCS have a better year...
