2007 ZX6r Opinions

OK , ive been hearing alot about this bike.... Even though all the websites have a To Be Determined note for weight and torque specs...
Super street mentioned how the zx6r has the least horsepower out of the new 600 class , but is putting down some high torque numbers and pulling faster lap times then all the bikes in its class... A friend of mine at west coast got to ride one recently , and him having a race background , took it for more then just a joy ride... bike comes with BT002s factory so he got a pretty decent trial on it... He told me the bike was throwing him around like crazy , and it has more power and handling the my 636... Im putting down 126 on mine and he said it didnt matter , the new 07 was insanely powerful for the engine it has....
Im thinking of making this my new track toy....
Opinions?

if american racing is any type of factor for you....look at the Supersport Class in the AMA....
3 of the top 5 are ZX-6's....2 of the riders are excellent, so that makes up for alot, but Steve Rapp is rippin it up in the Kawi after years with Suzuki teams....
i havent ridden one, but im sure the bike is highly competative...

I have this bike and I absolutely love it. It handles better than the 636 (that's what I used to ride before). It could use a little more "umph" up to about 5k though but after that it's a screaming banshee.
The new zx6r pulled the least amount of HP\TQ in the last 600 shoot out I seen. The Honda did the best this year.
The Zx6r is the only 600 without a Steering damper from the factory IIRC, and the test reports say it didn't need it. That is a good sign of a well balanced\handling bike.

my friend has one.. i have an 06 636.... my opinion is... in a straight line from a roll i can let him get the jump and pass him i am more experienced though as a rider.... but.. when it comes to cornering (which is by far the best part about these machines) i can enter a corner on his bike at about 10+ miles per hour compared to my 636 and feel more stable throughout the corner (i also need a new rear on my bike)
you definately need to upgrade the seat on the 07 because its hard as a rock my 636 seat is a million times better than the 07 in the comfort department.... overall i am very happy with my 636 and would only get an 07 if i could find a used one that i would turn into a track bike because i would love to ride the 07 around a track compared with my 636... one day ill make it there

Im thinking of it as my new track bike and thus far your opinions have backed what i heard and read....how ever i did hear it has a really long first gear.. fore those of you who have it , is that so... imma just change the gears anyways , but i was questioning the torque..
The lack of a damper due to balancing , is always a plus ... i dont really like dampers either , i have over exerted my self witha damper before , i like the bike fighting me a bit , gives me more of a feel for the turn.
126??? i wanna see a dyno sheet on that..not callin you a liar but damn...the most i could manage with slip-on pc3 and air filter minus the smog was 113...as for the 07 less power and torque doesnt mean nothing...its up to you how you make the bike perform...its not the bike that makes the rider its the rider that makes the bike....give me a 500 ninja and ill do MOST the people on this site dirty...

+1 on the 500 Ninja
I have a 500 Ninja and some of the people i see out there are fater in strait lines becuase the have money and can turn there wrist. But when it comes to turning there bikes, they might as well be a bum...
oh yeah no doubt , i agree with the 500 , but oit was a 600 series lap run , and the kawy was pulling the best times... same rider , different bikes... i was just implying that the same types of bikes designed for the same handling , and the one with the least power has the best times.....
Kawie636 , PMd
Kawie636 , PMd
Gears would be one of if not the first upgrade to do... my friend is thinking of going -1 in the front to see how he likes it and when or if he does ill let u know what i think
