hahahaha but to actually comment towards the topic of the thread..... Michelin has seen this coming and in my opinion not done a whole lot about it... Bridgestone as a whole has been coming out with newer product lines at lower costs dealer wise then michelin... quality being equivalant if not greater... I took some corners on the Bt002s recently , and i hafta say , im thinking of switching to them instead of the 2Cts.... And not just bike tires.... I run a Tire kingdom , and Bridgestone is on Michelins ass there too...

Michelins trouble in MotoGP is the result of a new tire rule this year. They used to be able to gather data on Fri & Sat practice & ship the teams tires overnight to race on Sun.

Now the tire manufacturers must supply a limited amount on Fri and that set of tires includes practice, race & Q tires. This is the race Michelin is loosing...

Coincidentally... Michelin is a relatively new comer to Formula one & they have been making ground on Bridgestone in that series.

I am interested in how the tip in on the BT002's feel compared to the 2ct. I am assuming you liked the feedback & feel of the BT002's.

Well i wasnt aware of the new tire rule , so thanks for filling me in there...What i dont get is that rule affects everyone , so thus , why should michelin pull out , i dont see why they just cant adapt to the new rules...

On the BT002 2CT comparison... First off , I was not on my bike... My zx6 handles alot different then my friends GSXR... how ever , my cornering on both bikes is very low.. I didnt quite have the confidence in the BTs at first and that statement i was told , that they take longer to heat up , they do , its a noticable feeling jumping right into a turn with out a few hard minutes of riding...The 2cts i can easily jump into a turn with out a lengthy warm up...Being on a 6 , its easy to go in hot , and power through the entire turn.. I feel the tires stuck better on the drop in and esp on the power out where it was most noticable.... With the 2cts , notice a slight slip on the power out on various turns , which i didnt notice with the BTs.... So thus this not being on my bike , i will be getting credit on my recent 2CT purcahse towards a pair of BTs , and as soon as i break them in , ill definetly confirm my initial statements as ill always push harder on my own property lol....

About MotoGP... Michelin is only saying they will pll out if the rumors that Both Rossi & Pedrosa are demanding Bridgestone rubber for next year are true. If that happens, that can effectively take the Top Yamaha & Honda factory teams away from Michelin thus leaving them satellite teams that Michelin has not interest in supporting since those teams hardly have a chance of winning races.

Why is this affecting Michelin & not Bridgestone? That's anyones guess... Bridgestone didn't quite have the edge they have now with the rules change. I am sure more will develop on this...

As for the BT002's taking longer to warm up... if that is the case, that indicates that it is better suited for the track where it wouldn't take much to get them up to temps. You def want a faster heating tire for the street where we are hardly on the side to get them up to temps.
