if you guys want one sunday after the N run swing to my house on the way back. I have all the handtools, jacks (no motorcycle stands though I risk using a floor jack under the shock mount ) beer, a grill, whatev. Driveways big enough for however many bikes you can get together and theres a nice big asphault pad i could move the cars off of to accomidate the 'work area' You can wash em (have soaps and waxes), change oil (got two drain pans and plenty of 5 gal buckets to store used oil in), whatever! It actually sounds like fun.

Gotta clean the garage though first and re-organize
In a few weeks possibly?

ok i wont use brake parts cleaner again. i actually used it to clean the rear wheel and i think i was wiping the paint off of it.

ive been reading heavily on the WD40 as a cleaner, some people swear by it. some people avoid it. im still torn between the two.

chain wax attracts dirt and its a bitch to clean off when its time to relube the chain. i might start trying the wd40 method as a cleaner and will go from there.

so the front sprocket needs to be cleaned and lubed too? i didnt know that.
anything else you guys recommend as far as chain maintenance?

Motul makes a great chain cleaner. Brake cleaner, kerosene, diesel fuel......all that isnt good for o-ring chains or x-ring chains. Silkolene synthetic is by far my favorite chain lube!! Get a grunge brush, it comes with some shit that is good and SAFE on chains. This thing is a life saver and much safer to do it with your bike in gear and on the rear stand. Use second or third gear too!

im currently using maxima chain wax and that bluish/green chain cleaner. i forgot the name. i bought both and it came out to $17. the price is a little steep but i gotta do what i have to do. im just wondering what other cleaners i can use. coz that chain wax attract dirt like a mofo.

so is kerosene different from the regular gas we buy from the gas station?

sorry for the noob questions.

Suzuki recommends kerosene for their o-ring chains. I am sure they have done their homework on it.
