So what would all of you do if this actually happened? Not that I expect it to happen.

 

these bikes are mass produced and sold in mass numbers. the government gets so much money off of taxing these things they would never ban them, not to mention thats taking away from our constitution rights. guns kill people too, you dont see those banned do you?!?!

its kinda like the whole old fuck situation. we all want them off the roads, they are all potential killers. but do they take them off the roads?!?! NO. the insurance companies are too bizy profiting off the elderly for it to ever happen.

 

don't be surprised when it does happen...."it's shit like dis dats gonna bring dis Bonnie situation to a head, man"....

 

or they could just make sure they end up in the right hands...

i think we should change everything about driver/rider training in the country.

 

It's ironic that the motorcycle was not at fault. It's amazing what can happen when you put a donut eating slob behind the wheel of a 2000 lb crown vic. If the officer had a brain, he would not have been chasing a bike through traffic at those speeds.

Please point out where and in what constitution, there is a right to operate motorcycles on public highways granted.

Not for lack of trying, but the right to keep and bear arms is actually granted by the United States Constitution.

I'm certainly not in favor of a motorcycle ban. This statement is like a lot of other statements made by politicians. It's something for people to rally behind and gives him a little more exposure before the next election. He's simply pandering to the emotions of people who are very upset by the incident and using those emotions and his words to win favor. Such statements are usually safe to ignore. In all likelihood, this politician will have moved on to some other pet issue in a week or two.

 

I completely agree... In two weeks everyone will have forgotten about it and politicians will stop saying such things. The funny part is that it would make more sense if the politician was saying they should ban police cars or institute no chase policies since it was the cop that actually killed those people. The bike made it home safely...

 

See the original thread, I called the Prince George's County Police Department. The cop appears to have been in violation of the department's existing pursuit policy.

 

no chase policy now that will deter the next bonehead from breaking the law. Maybe they should find the twerp on the bike and hold him/her accountable for the injuries and deaths so the rest of the riders see why they should not be in a "Chased" situation.....
