Default Recommend me someone who works on Kawasakis....

Having some problems with my bike. Mainly after I've been riding for a good 15mins or so and get into higher speeds/when I start to push it is when the problems start up. Starts bucking a bit, and when I slow down and engage the clutch it dies. Then it won't start again until I wait a good 15 mins. or so. It's wierd.

Does anyone have a recommendation on someone in the North Tampa or Brandon area who works on Kawasaki's? It's a '94 zx6e.

Sounds like the carbs? when was the last time they were serviced? How many miles on the bike? full fairings with all duct work im assuming. Does it have a Jet kit at all? What kind of exhaust?

It's all stock. Supposedly only 3500miles on it (that's what it read on the odometer and title...I have my doubts though).

I just pulled it apart and found one of the ram air tubes disconnected and the air filter was basically falling apart. Plan on getting a k&n in there asap. Think these two things would cause these symptoms....I dunno about the not starting back up for 15 minutes or so part.

check the gas cap, see if its causing a vacumm on the tank,
some of the older hondas did this, it would run fine as long as the tank was full, but with less than 1/2 tank it would casue a vacumm on the tank and suck the fuel back up causing it to shut down, then after sitting it would lose the vacumm and fire right back up again and do it all over again.

need tires (take offs)? PM me
need a deal on a track day? PM me

disclaimer: I sell used tires (take-offs), these tires have been used at Jennings, Homestead, etc. (road courses for those that dont know) therefor these tires are more used up on the sides than in the middle,

Pull the plugs and see what kind of condition they are in. Could be fouled. A good carb cleaning won't hurt either.
