form???
Well hey explain to me how the line changes when you are on the track by yourself. Cause regardless of the fact that there are several diff lines you can take, there is always a way to hit every apex, if you miss it, it was your mistake... the Track God didn't move the track under you to put you in a diff spot...
No I didn't... you said the line changes... I say the lines are there and there is an optimal line to hit every apex... a far cry from a line "changing" how do you even explain that? How do you then interpret changing your line in mid corner???
This should be interersting,,, Hell take a brids eye view of the track... draw the optimal line... let me know when it moves? OK
Then let me know when you realize a rider can miss his intended line into a turn...
Simple science... unless your are failing to be clear with what you are trying to say...

It's Doesn't mean a Failed Attempt to pass or you're on the outside line.
U Interpreted it incorrectly...Sorry..

And I made the comment to encourage the fellow motard rider into going out there and having some fun... he may just go out there and take the candy away from many that think they are fast by buying a "faster" bike
When U go to the track your 2nd time....I guess you'll have to go look @ lap times then..
Calvin, I was just offering a diff point of view to determine a more scientific approach to your scenario of same skill level rider on diff bikes. There are some controls that need to be put in place that will exploit the pros and cons of each machine. Controls such as tires, a small track, a large track, street trim vs race spec bikes... etc...
Simply to eliminate comments as you made below... I know the track record was set on a superbike. You need not convince me of that. But I'd like to see someone try on a race spec Motard, oh I don't know say with a 990cc motor capable of pushing it into the 150hp territory to see where the laws of physics puts a sub 300lb motard with 150hp vs a 300+lbs superbike with 200hp...
The fact is... it's never been done... so how could anyone be so sure it's impossible? IMO, it'd be a hell of cool event to attend... And I'd volunteer as a regular rider on each to see how the diff riding styles affect rider speed & confidence... I'd put money that some riders may go faster on either bike.
The Track Record wasn't set by a Motard! and Yes, That track is set up for entry speed.

Oh and for the record, the track record was set by geoff may, on his 600, not the 1000

U stated; There was No passing on the inside, just on the outside of the Novice group, Which is True.
I Stated;Through Corners 6 through 9...Remember, the inside becomes the outside & the outside becomes the inside..At times!
Nothing is mention about lines... Inside & Outside is in reference to the 'Inside & Outside' of the Track...So, Are U really Passing on The Inside Of The Track or the outside of the Track !....?
Then U Start with a Attempt to Twist Words and throw me off with"Brids Eye View" LOL...Which Is all Good, For a Post Count I guess..
It's A Riddle...
Now, For 'The Motard' Vs. 'Sport Bike'...debacle!
I Said; If both riders are *=/equal* in ability/Skill. A Sport bike will Chew-up a Motard @ JGP. I sure Hope U're Attempt to de-bate this isn't what Hurts!
I Also! Put out there, For the Rider who would like to go ride @ JGP on his motard that there are plenty of riders out there riding Motards! And, Yes! There are Motards Riders that will take 'The Candy' from some 'Sport Bike' Riders! Was This A Big Secret!
Can't Wait To See U @ Both..
