This is gonna hurt
I heard in another board that the bolts under the forks that hold the slider tube (chrome) need to be torque checked on the 636's forks. But other than that incident I have seen nor heard of any other incidents. The 636 suspension mod being so popular in the Z forums, they are trying to find out more about it.
The 03-04 636 used KYB Forks. (Forks in the pics)
The 05-06 636 used Showa Forks. (Showa is owned by who Brandon???)
FYI...
KYB aka known as cheap 3rd party OEM suspension supplier in Japan.
Marzzochi aka known as cheap 3rd party OEM suspension supplier in Italy.
I just checked and the 636 suspension I got from Mike for the track bike is KYB
Lucky for me... I have a Craftman air compressor & not a Honda. So torquing the bolts to specs should be no problemo... Brrrrrrandingo!
