Default legal issues

women love to go for rides on bikes. usually, when i give a girl a ride, i speed a little just to make the ride more interesting. i dont do triple digits or anything, but ill prolly do 10-15 over and give a little lean in the curves.

my question is. if you were to give some chick a ride and somebody pulled out infront of you or something happened causing you to lay the bike down. would you be responsible for her medical bills and also be open to any lawsuits if you did not have proper coverage on the bike?

reason i ask is because as of late there have been a lot of girls asking for rides. the majority of them i either just met, or have known for a short time, and i am pretty sure they would be more than willing to take everything possible from me in the event of anything happening.

its actually kinda scary when you think about the liability a passenger on a bike could be if anything happened.

thoughts?

I'm pretty sure you're responsible for their safety while they're on board.

maybe this can fall under the lines of 18+?? not sure but it would make sense because ur responsible for anyone 17- in a car with a seat belt but if their 18+ than its their own problem??? u get what im saying?

Id say your responable and why shouldnt you be. They have no control over whats going on. Either dont ride people you dont know/trust, or there could be possible consiquences. Also remeber just becuase there isnt a law or something saying your responsible, their family could still sue the shit out of you if you were found neglagent or if they just felt they wanted to.

yep, i dont think i will be riding any more passengers on my bike.

unless if i make a waiver or something and make every chick sign it before going for a ride.

would you still be held reponsible if she fell off because she wasnt holding on? its not the riders fault.

A waiver in most cases woudlnt hold up in court. Unless maybe you had a witness sign it also. Holy leagal BS. As for if they fell off, probably depends if the dumb bitch was just kinda chillin then went for a dive or if you wheelied it and she got bumped off.... Either way its your word against hers... Kinda liek a rape charge
