Don't take the MSF course at the DMV. Pay the money and take the course to get your motorcycle license, you'll learn a lot. I'm not sure on the age but good luck!

 

this is true... 16 w/ msf... its $210 and they do it at SICKLES HIGH every other weekend... they use Honda 250 ( nighthawks )...easy class... lmk for more info

 

just take a course at a harley dealer or if u live near north tampa at chamerlain high.
i did when i was 16 and paid $175 for the course (u will pass if your not retarded) then walked into the dmv and they handed me my license with a motorcycle also at the bottom.
the $175 is worth it cause ive been riding dirt bike since 3 and my bike since 14. and the cousre still was fun for me ona little virago 250

16 to ride with parental consent like they said, you have to take the MSF or some form of motorcycle beginners course if you're under 21 (just finished mine today, $250). As far as insurance goes, it's not a law to have it to ride, but if your finance the bike, then whatever bank you go through or the dealer goes through might require some amount of insurance. also, my MSF teacher told us that if you get into an accident, and don't have insurance, it's illegal, but you can ride without insurance. Sounds typical of laws to me :/

I'ma get insurance asap since i officially have my endorsement now.

Also under 21 has to wear a helmet, hence the reason why our plates say "Under 21" on them.

 

also, if your under 21, your license plate SAYS UNDER 21 on it....its a new law...i saw someone at my school ridin around with one of them and the guy at MSF course mentioned it. I think helmets are required under 21 too....Kinda fucked up way to let cops know!

 

I just found out that you have to have you regular E class drivers license to get it it ,this fucking bites

 

if u dont have insurance in the state of Florida u have to wear a helmet, no matter what age... also if u want cheap insurance call gieco and get the bare requirement its only $28 - $35 a month or get cheap health insur. which is what i got... i pay $65 a month for a low deduc. and $5million coverage... ( blue cross n blue shield ) i just got all this taken care of thats why i know... goodluck w/ everthing
