what i mean to say is that it's still too vague cause i know for a fact that you can change your MAC address of any network port (a more specific way of pinpointing a computer), i'm not 100% positive but i believe you can spoof your IP address to anything you want it to show up as with any outgoing data). the only reason i ever used Linux was to change my MAC address on my last Vaio laptop for similar reasons ... lol not really

Correct, but if I recall, he was posting from his GF;s computer, work and friends' house. His work had serveral guys that used to ride w/ him as well his roommate.
