Default My first fuel injected bike. A little help please.

I'm back firing pretty bad. It's to the point when I shift gears I can hear a quiet pop. I rely on engine breaking...That's how I was taught to ride sooooooo I can get a solid 4-5 popping noises when I down shift. So the only way of fixing this problem is to buy a power commander and get my bike re-mapped right?

If I decided to not do anything about this back firing what's the problmes that it could cause to the engine?

I'm on an 06 Kawi 636 21,000+ miles.

Actually there is a vacum hose that you can plug to get rid of that. That is what the kawi tech told me.

yep... check the kawi boards, .99$ vac cap and my 10 is way better, but after removing my cat and shit I need a pc3 to get rid of all of it.

but it only does it in one spot, on decel, so I drive around it lol.

oh and if you have a leak in your exhaust, it will make the pop worse.

Its your PAIR system or atleast thats what its called on a honda. It injects fresh air into the exhaust stream to make it a much cleaner burn. Just emisions bull shit, it wont hurt anything but you can eleminate it and take some weight off the bike.
