crapped my pants...what would you do?
I would be hesitant to take the advanced MRA courses if I was you. When I took the basic course, the instructors told me not to come back until I have put 5K miles on my bike. They said that they get people that go through the course and get a bike, come back for the advanced course and put down their brand new 10K dollar bike...so think twice about doing that.
I am a new rider as well, but I would agree with just about everyone above. Ride the roads you know and ride them again and again and again, you can slowly increase your speed and your lean angle and you will notice your progress. It may be slow, but if you try and learn too fast, you could simply put your bike down while going into a corner.
Good luck. ATGATT

Feels a bit soft to me. Some old guy owned it once, so I think its set soft.
Rides okay though. I'd like to learn more about the track day stuff. I've only put about 1500K on the bike since I bought it, so maybe in a little while I'll be ready to go out there and get some more seat time and really learn more about handling. Until then...I might take you guys up on your ride along offers. Thanks!

WOW...all great advice. Do what "they said", they've put it in a nutshell. North Run on a clear Sat/Sun morn' is as good as it gets around here. Great group of guys out there, just check rides/meets, hook up w/ beginner/moderate group & don't look back.......

Its a Triumph Thruxton 900. It has good rubber on it, but I imagine the suspension could be set up better. Its adjustable, front and rear.

if you want to have your suspension set, take it to Chad Wolfe @ kenetic in hudson, he is one of the best around, plus he will explaine everything in laimans terms for ya.
the best thing to do is get on board some local site rides, even if its sportbikes, there is one that splits into 3 or so groups for different skill levels, they take a very technical route north up into Brooksville area and sometimes go out to Clermont area, but all the roads are a blast. you will become a better rider in no time. jump right in with them, everyone that goes out is great and welcoming, hence a few bad apples.
get a few books read up, do some research on the net, you will be surprised on what your machine is capible of doing.
wehn you are ready, bring it to the track, now, the only thing I will warn ya is you might end up dragging some are parts, there are no that many cruises that come out, but I have seen a few and 1 guy really tears it up on a v max.
anyways, if you want so more info, hit me a pm

I know exactly what you went through...I did this one time coming back from 60 one day getting onto Veteran's except I straightened up like a jack ass and went into the grass. Luckily no one was around. Like Slo Poke said Danny Obrien loves that North Run, in fact I ran it with him last week, and we both just couldnt get enough of this neighborhood.
