It pays to be respectful to the PoPo
Riding to work this morning I decided to take the right hand bicycle lane at a stop light. Of course the very first car stopped at the light is a cop so I quickly pull inbetween two cars and stop until the light turns green...The cops goes straight so I turn right. As soon as I turn right a cop pulls outta the cut and pulls me over. I turn off my bike, put my key in my seat and take off my helmet and gloves then get off the bike.
He told me that his Sergeant saw what I was doing. Two cops were in the same car and the passenger cop told me that he was writing me $175 for riding in the bicycle lane and another one for the wrong address on my license. The cop was cool and only ended up giving me a ticket for the wrong address on my license after telling me that he likes my rims and that I was respectful to him and his partner.
Moral of the story....Don't be a hardass and cops might give you a break.

+1...sometimes it works sometimes it don't....but it never pays to be an ass to the fuzz, they'll put a fuckin on ya and smile....
