Tampa Racing - Anyone have any feedback on this alarm???

Alarms are great on cages, since the cages are harder to lift into a truck and have better hiding spots for the alarms. On a bike you are very limited on the space so there are only a few places to look. Since it's an alarm the engine imobilizer works the same way as a car alarm, once they find the alarm all they have to do is un-plug it.....or better yet go to the battery and cut any accessory leads coming from the positive terminal. Without power the imobilizer doesn't work.

Don't get me wrong, alarms on a bike can be very useful in giving a visual deterant to the casual thief, and an audible notification to you to run outside and beat the shit out of someone, or some cat :)

To make it a pain in the ass to start for those that want to bypass the alarm and hotwire the bike, AND for those who want to throw it in a truck and play with it later. How would you like to use a starter kill system that is the size of a standard automotive relay......or half that size....so that it's easily hidden almost anywhere on the bike, AND if the accesory wire is cut it just won't work (instead of allowing your bike to be stolen). If your good with wrapping electrical tape around things you can wrap this relay sized system on to the main harness an it'll look like it's meant to be there. This system is automatic with no buttons to "arm" or "disarm" just hop on and ride, hop off and walk away.

What is it you ask? Can I still use it with my current alarm?

And yes you can use it in series with an alarm immobilizer, or just don't hook up the alarm immobilizer since it's usless with the Dawg.

You will notice that it has a custom installation pdf to look at, very easy install. There are some bikes that are plug and play, so see if yours is on the list. Notice that there is no honda on the list, yet that is what I have with my digital dawg.

No I don't work for them, but I love this product. I actually wired up 2 relays, one as normal for the starter, and one in parallel to the ignition. So now I just walk up to my bike with the transponder in my pocket, hop on, flip up the kickstand and start the bike.....NO KEY NEEDED. However even with the key you would still need the remote......good luck getting both :)

If you are the type that would like to do a write up (with pictures) and are good with wiring, call them and talk to Bruce. Tell him you are interested in doing an install on your bike and it's not listed on the website so you will be doing a custom install. Ask if he would be able to help you out on the price if you were to do a write up and send him pics of your install. I am not gauranteeing that he will knock some money off, but he did for me, and it sounds like he is very interested in getting this product out there and used by as many different bikes as possible.
