Default Painting the bike.

I am currently in the process of having my bike painted. I am going with a olive green (ie:military green) with black going down the top sections of the bike. I want to have maybe a white star painted on both sides of the fairings and a few other military details. I am still tossing a few ideas around in my head though. I'm sure satin black would look good as well but i am worried about the paint holding up. If anyone has any interesting paint idea's they would care to share i would appreciate it.

I was also thinking of Championship White since it is a honda and all

....oh the bike is a 600rr

I'm not going to spend much. Just for supplies. My uncle paints, so the labor is free .

Cool...Since you allready seem set on dark green and black I would suggest to use as little white as possible cause it's gonna stick out like a sore thumb..

Are you gonna put a clear coat on it cause this would look hot w/ one or two white stars and no clear, plus a matching helmet

It will have a clear. I just don't know if i want a flat clear or gloss. I would like to have flat clear. I am wanting to go red with the stock honda emblem on the tank and lower fairing to match my helmet and jacket wich are black and red. But we'll see.

edit....mmmm now im thinking of painting the inner rim dark green as well and leave the center and spokes black???

Were you ever in the military, or have a liking for a particular branch?

I think the O.D. green will look especially with the white star.

KBC sold a helmet this past year that sounds similar but is black, not green. Here's a link...

KBC Force S Urban Assault Helmet - Motorcycle USA Superstore

Good luck.

My grandfather was in the military in WWII and my dad was in the navy. I like the look of the paint. I don't want anything too flashy but i do want it to be different. That helmet is awesome i might have to get that thing. Thanks
