Default Suzuki Sv650s

Im just curious how these bikes stand up to say. a Honda 600 or a Yamaha 600?

I know the Sv650s is a 650Cc but Im not sure if its meant to be on the same level as the 600sport bikes. Or if it will keep up to them.

Im not trying to race my bike im just curious. I still have 400 miles of breakin left

Completely different type of bike.

The sv is a V-Twin, the bikes I think your talking about are Inline 4s, The V-Twins typically have more low end power/torque, and the inline fours generally have more hp, and mid to high range power.....

I don't know how much better the new ones are, but no they arnt really ment to be fast bikes hp wise... my guess would be in the low 13s in the 1/4 mile.

I hear they handle well thou.

The SV650s is more of a starter bike... what I really like about them is the aftermarket support. They are bikes that grow with you as your experience builds...

The I4 600 SS are already where the aftermarket can take an SV650s, with more HP to boot. You can make a SV650s fast but it'll take some money to make them anywhere near a I4 600.

In the handling dept, with USD Full adjustable forks & rear shock the SV650s should be as good in the tight stuff, if not better... but stock for stock... the SV650s is no where near the same league...

Just remember that the SV650S is almost topped out at the end of that run... Mine topped out at 139mph indicated. Still, a great bike for starting out or for street riding. Fun to flick back and forth in the twisties!
