I alwasy thought a gear indicator was pointless but if it has a TRE its win win. My thing was always if you want to get more accell and have the rpm down shift, if you are cruising and buring rpm up shift... I guess gears are pointless to me, i could care less I shift accordingly to what i need regardless of the gear i am in. Granted Im not a retard and go from 5th to 1st.

well the big thing with the 10s atleast is they say when you get on the gas mid corner thats its got a choppie feel to it and the tre gets rid of it... from what i read it was bad on the 04/05 and better or the 06/07 and the tre smooths that out. dont think it makes any more hp.

i've never noticed any of that on my 06 but who knows, maybe some do it worse or something.

as for the gear indicator, i think it would be nice. from time to time i find myself going for 7th gear that isn't there, it makes it ever worst when my other bike is only a 5speed with nice wide spaceing to the gears. some times on the 10 it feels like there is only a few 100 rpms between gears under 5k...

same here, with rear sprokets, I find myself trying to shift after 6th gear, but there isn't. Also, when I come to a corner, I tend to go into the wrong gear a few times. Still not used to mine after all these months, lol
